Welcome to the website of the Department of Rehabilitation and Special Education

We invite you to inform yourself about our tasks and activities on our homepage. We, that is about 190 employees in 27 working areas at one of the largest locations for Special Education teaching and research in Europe.

With our research and our teaching we pursue the goals

  • to communicate and investigate life situations of people with disabilities and people in precarious and disadvantaged life situations,
  • to develop measures and models of education, prevention, therapy and rehabilitation for people with impairments / disabilities as well as for society,
  • to qualify specialists in school and extracurricular fields of action.
