The American Psychological Association, APA, has extended the deadline for the submission of proposals for their annual convention in 2022, APA 2022, on August 4-6 in Minneapolis, MN. APA is not only seeking proposals from subject matter experts, but also invites graduate students and recently matriculated psychologists (i.e., obtained PhD 2020 or later) to share their research in a special format called Psych Science in 3, which means that you are invited to share your research in three minutes. On May 18-22, 2022 the 18th International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry will take place at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. The theme of the congress is Transformative Visions and Utopias of Hope in Qualitative Inquiry. Abstracts can be submitted until January 15. You can read more about the different types of submissions here. ICQI has been held annually on the campus of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Founded in 2005, its mission is to facilitate the development of qualitative research methods across a wide variety of academic disciplines. The Congress sponsors the journal International Review of Qualitative Research (IRQR), and three book series.
The guest editors of the special theme issue on Community Engagement in Education Research in Communities of Color are inviting new submissions. Their goal is to publish new theoretical frameworks, models, and theories regarding community engagement research. Authors who want to submit manuscripts for this project may include both traditional and non-traditional methodologies. Additionally, teacher scholars and scholar-activists who write non-traditional calls and identify research gaps are encouraged to submit commentaries and essays of these types of submissions.
The Seventeenth International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences will take place on 21-23 July, 2022 at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in Greece with a 2022 Special Focus At the Crossroads of Paradigms. Considering Heterodoxy in the Social Sciences. Founded in 2006, the Interdisciplinary Social Sciences Research Network is brought together by a common interest in disciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches, within and across the various social sciences, and between the social, natural and applied sciences. In the 2022 blended conference model, they will offer both place-based and online options for viewing and engaging. You do not need to commit to either an In-Person Blended or Online Only presentation format at the time of submission. You can present both ways if you register In-Person Blended or change your mode of the presentation if your preferences change. Also, you can submit a proposal at any time of the year with several deadlines. The regular proposal deadline is on 21 April 2022.
