Workshop "Creating digital workflows for qualitative research"
On June 3, 2022 T. Paulus, Ph.D., and J.N. Lester, Ph.D., will give a online workshop on "Creating digital workflows for qualitative research" . This one-day fully online interactive workshop offers participants both theoretical grounding and practical guidance for developing a personalized digital workflow for qualitative research that leverages technological innovations in meaningful and reflexive ways. By the end of the workshop, participants will have generated their own digital workflow for qualitative research studies and considered key critical appraisal questions to guide future methodological decisions. Workshop content is adapted from Paulus & Lester's (2022) book, Doing Qualitative Research in the Digital World. More information, as well as how to register, can be found here.

Newsletter Systematic metaphor analysis
Metaphor analysis is a way of obtaining understanding of a text by identifying and analysing the metaphors used in it. Metaphor analysis, as usually described, uses the researcher's intuition as a means of identifying the metaphors.
Since short, a German language newsletter about systematic metaphor analysis as a qualitative research method is available publicly under: https://www.listserv.dfn.de/sympa/info/qualitative_metaphernanalyse, and is owned and published by Prof. Dr. Rudolf Schmitt. The newsletter is intended to bundle new publications, conferences, workshops and other suggestions for a social science qualitative metaphor analysis at regular intervals. It continues the newsletter "Social Science Metaphor Analysis", which has been published since 2019. Submissions are welcome!
