Das Projekt widmet sich der Konsolidierung des transdisziplinären Studienbereichs Ästhetische Bildung an der Humanwissenschaftlichen Fakultät in Kooperation mit dem Institut für Medienkultur und Theater der Philosophischen Fakultät. Der Studienbereich wurde in den vergangenen Jahren inhaltlich neu ausgerichtet und durch neue Studiengänge – Ästhetische Erziehung und Intermedia – erheblich vergrößert. Das Projekt AEiT zielt in 4 konzertiert parallel arbeitenden Einzelmaßnahmen auf die jeweiligen Übergänge und Schnittfelder des Studiums mit 1. der Wissenschaft und professionellen Forschung, 2. der Institution Schule, 3. den professionellen Kunst- und Kultureinrichtungen in der Stadt Köln und 4. den sich durch Globalisierung & Digitalisation wandelnden Rahmenbedingungen von Welt, die den Studienbereich Ästhetische Bildung im fachlichen Kern betreffen. Die einzelnen Maßnahmen haben unterschiedliche Laufzeiten. Über 4 bis 5 Jahre laufen die Maßnahmen 1. Wissenschaft und 2. Schule und entwickeln langfristige Strukturen: Einrichtung eines Studierenden-Kollegs zur Professionalisierung des Studiums und frühzeitigen Förderung wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses, Einrichtung einer Professur für transdisziplinäre Ästhetische Bildung, Abordnung einer Lehrkraft aus der Schule zur Begleitung der Schulpraxisphasen und Entwicklung von Fortbildungen für die Schulen. Die mittelfristigen Maßnahmen 3. Kunst und 4. Globalisierung & Digitalisation verstehen sich als Pfadfinder, die Kooperationen der beiden Fakultäten mit außeruniversitären Partnern etablieren, thematische Schwerpunkte in der Lehre markieren und studienbegleitende Workshops zu Fragen der Interkulturellen Bildung, Internationalität und zur aktuellen Medienkultur entwickeln. Durch den Push-Charakter des Projekts werden über 2 Jahre in allen vier Schnittfeldern Wege geebnet, Akteure vernetzt, Pfade ausgetrampelt und Strukturen entwickelt, die eine nachhaltige Professionalisierung des Studiums sicherstellen.

The project focuses on the consolidation of the transdisciplinary study program Aesthetic Education at the Faculty of Human Sciences in cooperation with the Institute for Media Culture and Theatre of the Faculty of Philosophy. In recent years, the field of study has been reoriented in terms of content and considerably enlarged by new study programs - Aesthetic Education and Intermedia. The project AEiT aims in 4 concerted individual measures working in parallel at the respective transitions and intersections of the studies with 1. science and professional research, 2. the institution school, 3. the professional art and cultural institutions in the city of Cologne and 4. the changing framework conditions of the world through globalisation and digitalisation, which affect the study area of aesthetic education in its core subject. The individual measures have different durations. The measures 1. science and 2. school run for 4 to 5 years and develop long-term structures: establishment of a student college for the professionalisation of studies and early promotion of young scientists, establishment of a professorship for transdisciplinary aesthetic education, secondment of a teacher from school to accompany the school practice phases and development of further training for the schools. The medium-term measures 3. art and 4. globalisation and digitalisation see themselves as pathfinders that establish cooperation between the two faculties and non-university partners, mark thematic focal points in teaching and develop study-accompanying workshops on questions of intercultural education, internationality and current media culture. Due to the push character of the project, paths will be smoothed, actors networked, paths trampled and structures developed over a period of two years in all four areas of intersection which will ensure a sustainable professionalisation of the studies.
